NEXT Exam For DOCTOR Title
The Medical students will need to clear National Exit Test (NEXT) in order to be recognized as Doctor.
According to the Indian Medical Council (Amendment) Bill 2016, unveiled by the Union health ministry, the medical aspirants will need to clear the National Exit Test (NEXT). The National Exit Test exam is being conducted to create a level-playing field in medical education and is increasingly privatized. The National Exit Test is being made to ensure the quality of teachers.
NEXT will substitute 3 tests
1. NEET for PG admissions
2. Foreign Graduate Medical Examination
3. Recruitment for Central Health Services.
The National Exit Test will be an outcome-based test. As per the latest changes aspirants are required to note that the results of how students from individual colleges have performed in NEXT will be made public. The college has stated that over 90% students cleared the test, which will automatically act as an indicator. According to a report, Dr P Shingare, who heads the state’s department of medical education and research, The Next exam will get about a standardization.
