Come on lets know more about this young genius and his amazing robot.

Akshay Kaushik's fully functional robot is not just a regular robot, it can pick things, compete against other robots and it can even walk on its own!

This amazing robot is also hoping to represent India at the world championship due to be held at Louisville, USA in April.

Kaushik says: "I am so excited that me and my team made it this far. It all started with a small robotics competition where our team won the first prize in Delhi-NCR"

The team’s effort paid off when they got a chance to represent their model at a similar competition in Mumbai and Chennai after which they were declared the national champions.

Initially Kaushik and his team made a robot from a kit which included various parts and materials. After which the team was required to make the robot a fully functional one. So they programmed it to perform several tasks like picking up coins and walk on its own.

Kaushik says: "I was the programmer and also second driver of the robot. It was so great that our robot performed the best, it picked up all the coins on time and walked flawlessly!"

Now the next step is to give an extra-ordinary performance at the US competition. Over 15,000 entries from 27 countries witnessed it last time. The competition is expected to be even bigger this time.

"I am so excited to get an opportunity to represent India. It is like a dream come true", says Kaushik.
