“Everyone can tell you the risk, but only an entrepreneur can see the reward”
It is this zeal, to see achieve something greater than oneself that propels people to pave their own path and become entrepreneurs.
Most of the times, judging about the probabilistic consequence of doing something, holds us back from giving it a try. As Elon Musk has quoted "The first step is to establish that something is possible; then probability will occur", this attitude of entrepreneurship and leadership doesn't get imbibed overnight. Center of Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL) of BITS Pilani, Goa Campus has taken the initiative to build a culture in the campus that encourages young minds to come together, brainstorm and gain innovative ideas. This very culture boosts the qualities of an individual.
Coalescence ’18 is BITS Goa’s flagship entrepreneurial event being conducted by the Centre for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL) on 8th and 9th September. Being one of the major confluences of India, It attracts students from all over the country and inspires their very own journey and dream of launching a start-up. Coalescence is very lucky to have a supportive and robust start-up ecosystem, here in BITS Goa. We boast of hosting several prominent and prolific trendsetters such as Rajat Sharma (Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, India TV), Taapsee Pannu (B. Tech in CSE from GTBIT, Delhi and an actor), Radhakrishnan Pillai (Dir. of CIPL) to name a few.
This year we are lucky to have Ritu Marya(Editor in Chief for Entrepreneur Media and Franchise India Media), Sharad Sagar (The Vivekananda of 21st century), Vikram Gupta (COO at India Venture Advisors), Ajay Chaturvedi (Founder of HarVa XPO and Young Global Leader according to WEF), Shivankit Singh Parihar(Actor and Writer), Anand Munshi (Author and motivational speaker) and Sarathbabu Elumalai(Founder and CEO of Foodking) to kickstart the event. BITS alumni, who are entrepreneurs themselves in their own right, will host a panel discussion. It will be followed by an interactive session which aims at educating students about both the pitfalls as well as the rewards of being an entrepreneur. For any entrepreneur, there is a need for a mentor to give direction to his thoughts and ideas. Creativity is equally important for the execution of any idea. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity for budding entrepreneurs and will give them the fuel to achieve their vision and create their own destiny.
