Groom yourself Well... Before an interview

Plan well to execute. Its the mantra of success. Being a student to to crab the oppurtunity to reach your dreams, your presentation is very important. As the quote says "First Impression Is Always The Best Impression", one aspirant should potray that via their apparance. When you first meet, employers will form an assessment based on what you're wearing and how you carry yourself. Regardless of the work environment, it's important to dress professionally for a job interview. This will help guarantee that you make a great first impression.

The dress code differs depending on industry you choose. But if you want impress the interviewer be professional in your dress code. It might be a MNC or StartUp.

Here is the dress code, make sure you match to it.

For HIM

  • Suit (solid color - navy, black, or dark grey)
  • Neat, professional hairstyle
  • Limit the aftershave
  • Neatly trimmed nails
  • Portfolio or briefcase
  • Long sleeved shirt (white or coordinated with the suit)
  • Belt

  • Dark socks, conservative leather shoes
  • Little or no jewelry

For Her

  • Suit (navy, black, or dark grey) - make sure the suit's skirt is long enough so you can sit down comfortably.

  • Light make-up and perfume
  • Neatly manicured clean nails
  • Portfolio or briefcase
  • Coordinated blouse
  • Conservative shoes
  • Limited jewelry (no dangling earrings or arms full of bracelets)
  • No jewelry is better than cheap jewelry
