Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national-level computer-based management entrance test, it's score is accepted by all AICTE-Approved Institutions/University Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges.. The test is conducted by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The CMAT is a three hour online test which is conducted in a single session to evaluate the candidate’s ability across various segments like Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness.  

AICTE has prescribed the eligibility criteria of CMAT. The criteria is as follow:

1.Candidates must be citizen of India

2.Indian graduates from a recognised university/institution can apply for the test (minimum 50% marks for General candidates and SC/ST category must have a minimum 45% marks at their graduation level)

3. Final year graduate candidates whose result will be announced before commencement of admission for academic year 2017-18 can also apply for the test.There is no age limit for appearing in CMAT.

For the next academic year ie., 2018 exam registrations will begin in October. 

During filling up application form, candidates have to select dates and three cities for test centers to take up online examination in the order of their preference. After that, aspirants will be allotted dates and test centres on first come first served basis. Actual allotment however, will be subject to availability of the slots in a particular city.

General/OBC: Rs1400.
SC/ST/Pwd/Female: Rs700

Payment Mode:Note: Test Fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances.

1.Cash Payment through challan generated online and cash deposited in any branch of State Bank of India (SBI).
2.Candidates can apply online via Net Banking / Credit / Debit Card through www.aicte-cmat.in.

CMAT is a computer based objective type multiple choice test of 3 hours.

Each consisting of 25 questions. The total number of questions to be answered was 100 and the total marks of the test was 400.

Note: There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
