Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED K) conducts a state-level examination called COMEDK UGET (Undergraduate Entrance Test) to offer admissions to interested candidates in engineering and medical degree courses offered by colleges/institutes that are affiliated to COMEDK.

COMEDK UGET 2017 exam will be conducted on May 14 , across many cities in India for admissions to various UG programmes. COMEDK UGET scores are accepted by more than 150 engineering colleges, 12 medical colleges and 25 dental colleges in the state of Karnataka. The duration of BE course through COMEDK UGET is four years and that of MBBS course is four and a half years. On the other hand, duration of BArch and BDS course is five years and four years respectively

COMEDK UGET Eligibility Criteria 2017 (for B.Tech)

  • Aspiring candidates should have passed 10+2 or 2nd PUC or equivalent examination from a recognised board or university by state or central government in India with Physics, Mathematics (PCM) and English as compulsory subjects and any one of the optional subjects - Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology or any other technical vocational courses.

  • General category candidates should have secured 45% marks in class XII or equivalent, while SC, ST and OBC candidates need to have obtained 40% in PCM. They are also required to have passed in each of the 3 subjects separately.

Note: Diploma candidates are not eligible to take COMEDK UGET 2017.    


COMEDK UGET Eligibility Criteria 2017 (for B.Arch)

  • Aspiring candidates must have studied and passed 10+2 or 2nd PUC or equivalent examination from any recognised board or university in India. They should have passed these exams with Mathematics as one of the subjects along with other subjects.

  • Candidates passed 10+3 diploma recognised by central or state government are also eligible to apply.

  • General Category candidates need to have secured 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 or 2nd PUC, while SC, ST and OBC candidates are required to have obtained 45% marks in aggregate in 10+2 or 2nd PUC.

  • There would be no entrance test for B.Arch however; desirous students are required to have appeared in NATA with minimum 80 out 200 marks.

  • For B.Arch, the aspirants have to submit the separate application form.  

  • The Admit Card for COMEDK UGET 2017 also known as Online Test Admission Ticket (TAT).
  • The admit card was available online from May 5, 2017. No Test Admission Ticket (TAT) was dispatched either by email or post/courier or in person to the candidates under any circumstances.
  • Before downloading COMEDK UGET 2017 admit card, candidates had to ensure to check all the details mentioned in the admit card and read the instructions printed in it carefully.
  • Candidates should have ensured to take COMEDK admit card 2017 along with them on the examination day. Candidates without the admit card were not be allowed to appear in the examination under any circumstances.
  • Candidates also have to produce the admit card at the time of counselling and retain it until the completion of the admission process.
