Karnataka Common Entrance Test- KCET 2016 is conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) for admission to under graduate courses like B.E./B. Tech, MBBS/BDS, BUMS, BAMS, B.Arch, BHYS & BHMS, BSc, 2nd year B Pharma (Lateral Entry), B.V.Sc & A.H.B. Pharma and S Pharma.

Here are the eligibility details for KCET:

 

MBBS or BDS Programme: In order to get admission in this course, Candidates are necessary to pass in 2nd PUC/12th Std or an equivalent test with English. It is necessary to secure minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.

BAMS, BUMS, BNYS & BHMS Programme: For getting admission to this course, Candidates are necessary to pass in 2nd PUC/12th Std or an equivalent test with English. It is necessary to secure minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.

B.E/ B. Tech Programme: In order to get admission in this course, Candidates are necessary to pass in 2nd PUC/12th Std or an equivalent test with English. It is essential to secure 45% marks in the subject Physics and Mathematics along with subjects namely Biology / Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/Electronics.

Arch Programme: In case candidates need to get admission in this course, they are necessary to pass in 2nd PUC/12th Std or an equivalent test with English. It is required to secure minimum 50% marks in all the subjects including Mathematics as a compulsory subject.

V. Sc. & A.H Programme: To get admission in this course, Candidates needs to pass in 2nd PUC/12th Std or an equivalent test with English. It is needed to secure minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.

B.Pharm Programme: If one is interested in getting admission to the course B.Pharm, he/she is required to clear 2nd PUC/12th Std or an Equivalent test with English. Candidates are necessary to secure at least 45% of marks in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects or PCM subjects.

2nd Year B. Pharma (Lateral Entry) programme: If one is interested in getting admission as lateral entry to B.Pharma programme, he /she must have cleared Diploma in Pharmacy test from an educational institution and that particular institution must be approved by the Pharmacy Examination Council of India. Besides, candidates are also necessary to secure 45% aggregate marks.

 D Pharma Programme: For getting admission to this programme, candidates are required to clear 2nd PUC/12th Std or an Equivalent test with English and secure at least 45% of marks in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology or PCM. OR, candidates must have cleared Diploma in Pharmacy test from an educational institution and that particular institution must be approved by the Pharmacy Examination Council of India.

Application Form:
Candidates can get the application form from the schools or colleges across Karnataka State where they study just by paying the demand draft of Rs. 650.

The KCET 2016 application forms are available via online mode only through the official website of the authority. Before filling, the candidates have to fill the details for application form. Entire process of application including the personal details, photo, signature and fee remitting will be done online only. The candidate will have to fill the application fee as Rs. 650/- (for general) or Rs. 500/- (for reserved) or Rs. 750/- (for candidates residing outside of state) or rs. 5000/- (for candidates residing outside country) through the e-challan at the prescribed bank. The candidates are suggested to keep the print out of their application form for further use. Once candidates will make the online declaration while application process, no changes will be done.

Result / Rank List: In the last week of May 2016, the KCET result 2016 will be released on the official site of the board and can be downloaded by entering the name and roll number of the candidate. The result will be made according to the norm of KEA.
